Position Title: Resident Advisor (RA) - Nefesh B’Nefesh Bnot Sherut Residence
Position Overview:
The Resident Advisor (RA) plays a key role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and well-functioning living environment for Bnot Sherut Bodedot. RAs serve as the first point of contact for residents, provide on-call coverage, respond to emergencies, and help foster a positive and engaged community within the building.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing questions, concerns, and needs
• Be available for building-related needs, including resident issues and operational concerns
• Rotation of on-call and onsight coverage from 6:00 PM until the following morning, with phones on.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations (including fire alarms, power outages, flooding, or other urgent incidents); all emergencies require full participation regardless of personal plans
• Monitor and respond in group communications when questions are asked, even if only to state temporary unavailability
• Make a consistent effort to attend and participate in community events-such as pizza parties, soup nights, and other programming provided to the girls
• Uphold building policies by addressing inappropriate behavior and preventing unauthorized individuals from entering the building
• Participate in a rotating Shabbat schedule, with one RA on duty each Shabbat
