This position is fully remote/work from home but requires travel to our office in Overland Park for in-person training 2 to 3 days per week during the first month of employment. In-person training days and times will be scheduled during normal business hours between 8AM and 5PM CST.

In this role, you'll be responsible for researching criminal records in jurisdictions throughout the United States and reporting results according to Validity's formatting standards while ensuring compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. This role requires a sharp eye for detail and a desire to always put the best data in front of our clients.
The Research Specialist’s primary focus will be on public record data such as criminal records while also working closely with Validity's Quality Assurance team to ensure the overall quality and compliance of our reports. This individual must be a dedicated team player with an intense focus on detail.
We are looking for a Research Specialist to:
Research numerous online websites for applicant information including County Court Records, State Court Records, Federal Court Records and various local, state and federal government databases
Contact various sources for additional, required case information not located online
Compile information from all research sources into standard format for entry into Validity’s systems
Follow all local, state, and federal laws when reporting criminal and civil records
Follow the Fair Credit Reporting Act and complete the Research Provider exam
Work as an effective team member, liaising with others and contributing to the overall success of the Company
Complete other duties as assigned
