MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
・Currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree with an expected graduation by the end of March 2028
※Must be in school until the end of internship program
・Must be available for a 3-month on-site internship in 2026 (During the internship, remote is not eligible.)
・Have no more than 24 months of professional full-time work experience in the technology field (excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience)
・International students who require visa support must meet one of the following requirements:
  ・The internship program is part of your education and essential for your graduation
  ・This internship allows you to receive some credit(s) for your education program
  ・Have Bachelor degree at the time of application

WORKING CONDITIONS
・Start Date: June 1, 2026, August 3, 2026
・Internship Duration: 3 months
・Expected work hours: 5 days (40 hours/week), depending on visa and class scheduling, some flexibility for shorter hours may be available
・Salary Type: Hourly wage
・Work Location: Nihombashi (head office)

  ・International students: Air tickets, visa support, and temporary housing will be provided

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking highly self-motivated interns with expertise in machine learning and computer vision, focused on the state-of-the-art in Multi-Modal Foundation Models. You are expected to conduct cutting-edge research on Vision-Language Models and Large Language Models (LLMs), especially in connecting with multimodal domains such as vision, sensor, and text. You will join our Tokyo-based team to build next-generation technology in computer vision-related products used in the woven city as human-centric services.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Research and development of new technologies for multi-modal foundation models and generative AI-related areas including vision, language, and sensors in the real-world domain
• Conduct large-scale training and evaluation on multiple benchmarks
• Develop the novel algorithm for prototyping and present research findings both internally and externally


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D degree in computer science, engineering, or a similar major
• Experienced in machine learning, generative models including but not limited to large language models, computer vision, and multi-modal learning
• Experience with coding and software development with one or more general programming languages (Python, C++)
• Experienced in ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow etc.
• Proficiency in conversational-level English


NICE TO HAVES:
• Strong publication record in top-tier computer vision, and machine learning conferences or journals, e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, TPAMI, etc
• Experience with modern development tools and cloud-based environments (GIT, Docker, AWS, GCP, etc)
• Experience in conducting large-scale dataset creation and training in distributed environments/frameworks
• Experience in training and deployment of large language models or large vision-language models
• Experience in pre- and post-train under supervised, self-supervised, reinforcement learning, and graph learning
