As a Research Sales & Account Executive specializing in rankings sales at Newsweek, you will drive revenue by selling licensing and marketing opportunities to top-tier businesses and institutions that have been recognized through data-driven and editorially backed evaluations.

This role is essential in helping organizations showcase their excellence and stand out in their respective markets.

This role is ideal for a driven professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and seeks significant growth and earning potential. Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Revenue Generation:

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to identify and engage prospective clients for rankings licensing.

• Own the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure, ensuring consistent revenue growth.

• Actively manage and track a robust sales pipeline using CRM tools, maintaining up-to-date client records and progress reports.

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

• Build and nurture strong relationships with senior leaders, including CEOs, CMOs, Chief Sustainability Officers, and other C-suite executives.

• Conduct engaging client presentations—both virtual and in-person—to highlight the value of rankings licensing and the benefits of aligning their brand with Newsweek’s trusted evaluations.

• Provide personalized solutions to meet client needs and maintain long-term client satisfaction.

Product Expertise and Communication:

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Newsweek’s ranking methodologies, research processes, and the impact of licensed badges.

• Develop and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals that showcase the unique value and credibility offered by Newsweek’s rankings.

• Address client questions and effectively communicate how rankings can boost market differentiation and consumer trust.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

• Stay informed on market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.

• Offer strategic insights to internal teams based on client feedback and market research, suggesting enhancements and identifying growth areas.

Negotiation and Contract Administration:

• Lead contract negotiations, ensuring outcomes that align with both client needs and company policies.

• Draft and manage licensing agreements and monitor client compliance, proactively following up on renewals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.

• 3-5 years of successful business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, ideally within media, licensing, or a related sector.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with strong negotiation and closing skills.

• Experience in client relationship management, with an ability to engage C-level executives.

• Familiarity with CRM platforms for tracking leads and managing accounts.

Skills and Attributes:

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• High emotional intelligence and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.

• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with a passion for working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrating creativity in overcoming challenges.

• Proficiency in preparing and delivering impactful presentations.
