The McGill RISE3 Implementation Science Lab, led by Dr. Guillaume Fontaine, is seeking a full-time Research Associate or Postdoctoral Fellow to support an ambitious and growing program of work on AI Methods for Implementation Science (AIM-IS). Depending on qualifications and experience, an outstanding candidate at the Research Assistant level may also be considered. The AIM-IS program brings together an international team of leading scholars and collaborators to develop a framework, toolkit, and reporting standard for the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in implementation practice and research. The study protocol for this work has been accepted for publication in Implementation Science.

Position overview

The successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating and advancing multiple streams of the AIM-IS program. These currently include a living evidence review, an expert consensus study and other linked methodological and collaborative activities. The individual will work closely with Dr. Fontaine and an international network of co-investigators and partners.

Key responsibilities

• The exact scope of responsibilities will depend on the candidate’s level of experience, but may include:
• Coordinating day-to-day activities across the AIM-IS program
• Supporting project planning, implementation, and tracking of milestones and deliverables
• Leading or contributing to evidence synthesis activities, including the living review
• Supporting qualitative research activities, such as protocol operationalization, data collection, analysis, and synthesis
• Preparing ethics materials, study documents, meeting agendas, summaries, and progress reports
• Contributing to scientific writing, including manuscripts, reports, conference abstracts, and grant applications
• Supporting coordination of the Project Steering Committee and the Global Reference Group
• Liaising with collaborators, trainees, and knowledge users across institutions and countries
• Contributing to the development of methodological outputs related to AI and implementation science
• Helping mentor students and research staff involved in the project, where appropriate

Qualifications

Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, with 5 years substantial research experience

Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level #4 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.
