Job Description

General information:
Academic interests of our chair lie primarily in the fields of metaheuristic methodologies,
combinatorial optimization problems, as well as the interface between operational
research and artificial intelligence. In particular, we value mathematical foundations and
emphasize practical applications.

Your mission:
• Developing research projects using the above-mentioned methods in the context of Operations Management and Logistics.
• Teaching in English in the Bachelor and Master programs at the WHU.

Your profile:
The ideal candidate is expected to• have an outstanding master’s degree in Operations Research, Management Science, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• have strong interests in Optimization, Quantitative Methods, and interdisciplinary research questions.
• In addition, German language proficiency is not required.
