The laboratory of Professor Madeleine Sharp is seeking to fill a position of Part-Time (20 hrs per week) Research Assistant at the Montreal Neurological Institute under the supervision of Drs. Madeleine Sharp, Alain Dagher and Ron Postuma.

They are looking for an individual to assist in conducting a CIHR-funded longitudinal study examining the progressing of cognitive impairment in individuals with Parkinson’s disease and aimed at identifying the underlying risk and protective factors.

The Research Assistant with work under the direct supervision of the principal investigators. The specific responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that we are following research procedures and protocols
• Assist with participant recruitment
• Oversee the execution of research procedures, including data collection, through interviews, and collection of demographic, clinical, cognitive and MRI data
• Work with collaborating teams on data collection
• Following data management procedures
• Compilation of research data and data cleaning
• Conduct data analysis in support of research activities and assist in writing of reports
• Train and provide guidance to undergraduate and graduate student research assistants in service of the project
• Perform administrative tasks in relation to the project, e.g. ethics applications
• Identify areas of improvement in procedures and implement changes
• Assist with the preparation of grant applications
