Hiring Unit:
Department of Physics
Position Summary:
• Conduct experiments in the cryostat following established procedures
• Analyze the data and interpret results
• Help with dissemination of experimental results.
• Help with lab duties for the light-only liquid xenon (LoLX) experiment
Qualifications:
• Problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to adapt to an evolving work environment
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tools and applications quickly and independently
• Time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
• Organizational, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• A B Sc. in physics or a closely related field at the time of appointment
Experience and education:
• Candidates must have a B Sc. in physics or a closely related field at the time of appointment.
• Two years of relevant experience which could include student experience
• Preference is given to candidates with a background in experimental nuclear or particle physics
