Hiring Unit:
Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences
Position Summary:
• Conducting and executing research
• Numerical modeling and data analysis in atmospheric sciences
• Participating in both modeling and observation of data
• Performing literature search
• Collecting data by downloading and processing model, satellite and other data from public archives
Qualifications:
• Numerical modelling with such programming languages as Fortran, Python and Matlab
• Statistical data analysis and visualization
• Communicating research results in written papers, reports and oral presentations
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent training, in Atmospheric Sciences
• Experience in atmospheric research, having processed, analyzed and visualized datasets in binary formats such as NetCDF and HDF
• Having written papers or reports documenting scientific research
