Job Description:

• The Requirements Engineer – Infotainment Systems is responsible for defining, managing, and validating system and feature requirements for next-generation in-vehicle infotainment platforms. This role ensures customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and technical constraints are translated into clear engineering specifications that guide design, development, integration, and validation activities.

• The engineer will work cross-functionally with software, hardware, UX/HMI, architecture, cybersecurity, validation, and supplier teams to deliver high-quality connected vehicle experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture customer, business, and regulatory needs and translate them into system and feature-level requirements.

• Author and manage requirements using tools such as DOORS, Polarion, Jama, or Codebeamer.

• Decompose high-level vehicle requirements into detailed hardware and software specifications.

• Maintain end-to-end traceability from concept through production.

• Define system behaviors, interfaces, and data flows across infotainment components (head unit, displays, telematics, audio, connectivity).

• Collaborate with system architects to support platform definition and technical decisions.

• Lead requirement reviews and ensure alignment across engineering domains.

• Partner with validation teams to ensure test cases fully cover requirements.

• Manage engineering changes, deviations, and requirement updates throughout the development lifecycle.

• Support supplier sourcing activities by developing technical requirement packages and reviewing deliverables.

• Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ASPICE, ISO 26262 (where applicable), and cybersecurity guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.

• 3–8+ years of experience in automotive systems or requirements engineering.

• Hands-on experience writing and managing requirements.

• Strong understanding of the V-model development process.

• Experience working with Tier-1 suppliers and cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with vehicle electrical architecture and communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet preferred).

• Knowledge of full vehicle development lifecycle from concept to launch.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related field.

• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or SysML.

• Background in infotainment, cockpit electronics, ADAS HMI, or connected vehicle technologies.

• Exposure to Agile development environments.

• Understanding of cybersecurity and software-defined vehicle architecture.
