Position Summary: 
Providing excellent service for internal colleagues and MSC GVA colleagues in every written and verbal communication. The Terminal operations Representative is responsible for ensuring effective delivery of terminal operations objectives across our Canadian ports, maintaining great relationship with terminal contacts, and providing highly accurate reporting and scheduling to various stakeholders both inside and outside the Agency.
Level of Responsibility:
Increased handling tasks with greater independence; Responsible for quality and timeliness of personal work. Contributing to projects with guidance, supporting team/organizational objectives. 
Key Tasks:
Act as liaison between the MSC Agency and terminals
• Act as a liaison between the MSC and Port Terminals and handle all inquiries.
• Creating and maintaining the regular vessel sailing schedule, ERD & Cut-offs on terminal.
• Communicating and applying vessel changes and omission.
• Creating and maintaining the terminal operations reporting.
• Verifying and approve port, terminal, and vessel related invoices.
• Submit Vessels ACI and A6 to CBSA.
• Address and resolve any issues that arise during terminal operations
• Monitor the vessel delay and submit a stoppage report for each vessel call to the Vessel and MSC Canada.
• Monitor and track the status and progress of the data and submission process and report any issues or delays.
• Identify and resolve disputes regarding vessel stoppages and detention costs.
*Additional tasks may be added or removed based on departmental needs.
Skills / Experience:

• This position requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends and being at the terminal as needed.
• Excellent command in spoken and written English, with bilingualism (French and English) preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to details.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience a similar role.
• Experience with documentation for Hazardous goods and CBSA is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, specifically Excel.
• Strong communication skills for negotiation and reconciliation
