About the role

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring customer systems operate at peak performance. This position is repair-focused, requiring hands-on troubleshooting and repair of returned electronic equipment. The candidate must be comfortable performing detailed repairs, maintaining accurate records in our internal repair database, and ensuring timely updates for tracking and reporting purposes.
In addition to repair responsibilities, the role involves providing exceptional customer support via email and phone communications. The candidate will also collaborate closely with Sales and Engineering teams to assist with product assembly, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll be doing
Assess, troubleshoot, and repair all incoming equipment while ensuring rigorous quality assurance standards for outgoing orders
Engage directly with customers to understand needs, resolve issues efficiently, and deliver effective solutions
Communicate complex technical information clearly and confidently through strong verbal and written communication skills
Develop clear, user-focused customer education materials, including manuals and quick-start guides, to improve usability and adoption
Analyze and interpret data collected from aquaculture sites to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for optimization
Take ownership of system reliability by ensuring all aquaculture sites with active equipment remain continuously online
Deliver remote training sessions that empower customers to confidently operate and maintain equipment
Design, refine, and implement internal procedures to improve the efficiency and reliability of incoming and outgoing equipment handling
What you'll need to succeed
At least 5 years experience in electronic repair
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electrical/Electronic, Ocean technology or equivalent
Comfortable working in an office and in the field
Experience using software tools such as Microsoft Office, Slack, JIRA, Confluence, Salesforce and Syspro
Experience using environmental monitoring equipment
First aid training
Position and Location:
This is a full-time position which will be located at Innovasea’s facility in Bedford, Nova Scotia.
