Rent Collection/Bookkeeping

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Rent Collector/Bookkeeper to support our property management operations with a strong focus on rent collections and tenant communication. The role will involve calling, emailing, and following up with tenants to ensure timely rent payments, processing invoices, and handling general office duties. The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, and comfortable balancing administrative work with bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rent Collections:
• Call, email, and follow up with tenants regarding rent payments
• Document payment commitments and update tenant records
• Issue late notices and coordinate with management on delinquent accounts
• Maintain accurate rent collection logs and reports

• Bookkeeping & Office Support:
• Enter payments, invoices, and expenses into QuickBooks
• Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks
• Maintain organized financial and tenant records
• Support with work orders, scheduling, and general correspondence
• Research permits, licenses, or compliance needs when required
• Answer phone calls and provide professional tenant/customer support

Requirements:
• Proven experience in rent collections, accounts receivable, or property management preferred
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and basic bookkeeping principles
• Strong phone etiquette, communication, and negotiation skills
• Ability to handle sensitive tenant information with confidentiality
• Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Rent Manager, AppFolio, Buildium) is a plus
