Registered Radiologic Technologist - CT or Mammo

Full Time and PRN available 

 Verifies patients identity and physician order prior to start of examination.   2.  Administers oral and IV contrast media as required for the requested examination.    
3.  Performs CT scans accurately according to established procedure or Radiologist's special instructions.    
4.  Completes machine warm-up/shut down procedure.    
5.  Assists all other techs in related job duties.    
6.  Performs routine radiology exams when not  performing CT exams.    
7.  Maintains accurate and complete records, (i.e. CT scan, log book, daily work sheet as well as all information on designated screens in the hospital MEDITECH computer system).    
8.  Brings previous exams forward for comparison by Radiologist and passes images to reading room for interpretation.    
9.  Obtains pertinent physical history on all patients/exams.    
10. Practices radiation safety by following, federal, state and hospital policies.  11. Maintains a clear and orderly work area and keeps a needed stock of supplies available.    
12. Demonstrates good guest relation skills while dealing with patients, their families, physicians and other hospital and department staff.    
13. Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures when not occupied in CT.    
14. Reports malfunctioning equipment to manager and/or call repairmen when needed.    
15. Files and maintains records.    
16. Maintains patient confidentiality while following established hospital policy regarding confidentiality issues.    
17. Updates orders in Meditech.    
18. Assists with teaching radiology students who are assigned to SBAMH as a clinical training site.    
19. Performs IV sticks, as needed.      
20. Attends at least 75% of department meetings.    
21. Attends all mandatory meetings as established by the hospital.    
22. Maintains required CEU level as established by the ARRT for annual certification status.    
23. Verifies all post-processing is performed and sent to PACS.    
24. Performs other duties as assigned.
