Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Detox & Behavioral Health
Hunt, TX (Texas Hill Country)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN
Schedule: 8-hour shifts
• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay: $45.00 – $52.00/hour (based on experience)
Overview
A structured inpatient detox and behavioral health program in Hunt, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients through medical detox and recovery.
This is a hands-on clinical role working with patients experiencing substance withdrawal and co-occurring mental health conditions in a controlled, team-based environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct nursing care for patients in detox and recovery
• Monitor withdrawal symptoms using CIWA and COWS protocols
• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and clinical staff
• Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies
• Support patient education and recovery engagement
Required:
• Active Texas RN license (unencumbered)
• BLS certification
Preferred:
• ACLS certification
• 1+ year RN experience in behavioral health, detox, ER, ICU, or corrections
• Experience with withdrawal protocols (CIWA/COWS)
• Strong communication and crisis intervention skills
