Fort Walton Beach, Florida – Gulf Coast
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts | Days or Nights depending on unit | Rotating Weekends
Salary Range: $26.40 – $39.60 per hour depending on experience and unit
Compensation
CVICU RN
$27.72/hr base – $34.32/hr (10 yrs) – $39.60/hr (15+ yrs)
• $1.50/hr specialty differential
ICU RN
$26.40/hr base – $36.30/hr (10 yrs) – $39.60/hr (18+ yrs)
• $1.50/hr specialty differential
Med-Surg Neuro RN
$27.72/hr base – $34.32/hr (10 yrs) – $39.60/hr (15+ yrs)
Med-Surg RN
$26.40/hr base – $33.00/hr (10 yrs) – $39.60/hr (15+ yrs)
Night Differential: +$4.25/hr
Weekend Differential: None
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 Days | $15,000 Nights
Relocation Assistance:
Up to $5,000 for CVICU | Case-by-case for other roles

Overview
A 267-bed Level II Trauma Center on Florida’s Gulf Coast is expanding several nursing teams and is seeking Registered Nurses across critical care and medical-surgical departments.
This hospital supports advanced cardiac, stroke, oncology, and trauma programs and serves the Fort Walton Beach and Destin communities.

Units Currently Hiring
Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) – Days
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
8-bed cardiac surgery ICU treating high-acuity cardiovascular patients.
Requirements
• 1 year recent ER, ICU, or CVICU experience within the last 3 years
• PCU/IMCU candidates considered with 2+ years experience
Certifications
• BLS required
• ACLS within 6 months
• NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days
CCRN preferred (required within 2 years).
Note: Shadow shift required prior to offer.
ICU RN – Nights
Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
10-bed medical-surgical ICU with ventilator and vasoactive medication management.
Patient Ratio
2:1 – 3:1 depending on acuity.
Requirements
• 1 year recent ER, ICU, or CVICU experience within 3 years
• PCU candidates considered with 2+ years experience
Certifications
• BLS within 30 days
• ACLS within 90 days
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days
• TNCC within 90 days
Note: Night shift shadow required prior to offer.
Med-Surg Neuro RN – Days
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
30-bed neurological and medical-surgical patient unit.
Requirements
• 1 year acute care RN experience
Certifications
• BLS prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days
Med-Surg RN – Days or Nights
28-bed inpatient unit with general medical-surgical patient population.
Patient Ratio
Up to 6:1
Requirements
• Minimum 1 year RN experience
• Acute care background not required
This is the most accessible role for nurses transitioning from outpatient or non-acute settings.
Minimum Qualifications
• Active Florida RN license or multistate compact RN license
• ASN or BSN from an accredited nursing program
• BLS certification (current or obtained within 30 days)
Unit-specific certifications listed above apply depending on department.
