Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Registered Nurse to join our growing team. This individual will work under the supervision of a CRNA and physician to assist in the post-operative recovery of surgical patients, as well as provide support in outpatient clinical settings.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment. Prior experience in surgical or procedural settings is a plus but not required.
Work Schedule:
Mondays and Fridays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Flexibility required: Hours may begin earlier or extend later depending on surgical schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Post-Surgical Recovery:
• Monitor and assist patients in the recovery phase following surgical procedures
• Support CRNA and physician with post-operative care and documentation
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper observation during recovery
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the recovery area
Clinic Support:
• Room patients and obtain vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight, etc.)
• Accurately enter patient histories and visit details into the EMR
• Assist with clinic flow, including exam room setup and cleanup
• Organize and prepare for in-office procedures and assist providers during procedures
• Triage telephone calls and return messages under supervision
• Send accurate and timely messages to providers using EMR communication tools
• Call in or send electronic prescriptions as directed by providers
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
Qualifications:
• Current RN license in the state of Utah in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in post-anesthesia care, PACU, ambulatory surgery, or ENT setting preferred
• Experience with EMR systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols
