Position Summary
Pineapple Healthcare is seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled, and patient-centered Registered Nurse (RN) to support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services across our clinical operations in the State of Florida. The registered nurse plays a vital role in coordinating patient care, supporting providers, educating patients, maintaining clinical compliance, and ensuring safe and efficient clinical workflows. This position requires strong clinical judgment, professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences in alignment with Pineapple Healthcare’s mission, values, and standards of care.
The registered nurse is expected to uphold all federal, state, HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational requirements while fostering a collaborative and respectful environment for patients, providers, and fellow team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with Florida nursing standards, provider orders, and organizational protocols.
Perform patient assessments, obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medication reconciliations, and clinical observations accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Assist providers during examinations, procedures, treatments, and clinical interventions.
Administer medications, injections, vaccines, and treatments as authorized within the RN scope of practice and organizational policies.
Monitor patient conditions and report significant findings or changes to the appropriate provider promptly.
Coordinate care plans and collaborate with medical providers, case management, front desk teams, laboratory vendors, pharmacies, and external healthcare partners.
Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, preventive care, chronic disease management, and follow-up instructions.
Support medication prior authorizations, referrals, specialty medications, and continuity of care coordination when applicable.
Ensure proper infection prevention, sterilization, safety protocols, and OSHA compliance are consistently maintained.
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and assist with triage and urgent patient needs.
Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical documentation.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, compliance activities, staff trainings, and organizational meetings.
Assist with inventory monitoring and the management of clinical supplies and medications.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA privacy and security standards.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned based on operational needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program approved by the Florida Board of Nursing.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred depending on departmental assignment.
Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
Experience in primary care, outpatient care, community health, LGBTQ+ healthcare, infectious disease management, or specialty care environments preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and function effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems and healthcare technology platforms.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient service skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.
Bilingual abilities preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout clinical areas for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Visual and manual dexterity sufficient to operate clinical equipment and perform patient care activities.
Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
Work Environment
This position operates within a clinical healthcare setting and may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious materials, and other occupational hazards consistent with healthcare environments. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety training will be provided in accordance with OSHA standards.
