We are currently seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our clinical team with working a 2/3 block schedule and 12-hour shifts.
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Registered Nurse (RN) at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays a critical role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals experiencing mental and behavioral health conditions. RNs help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while supporting patients throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
In this role, Registered Nurses perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, and closely monitor patient progress and response to care. They observe, document, and communicate changes in patient condition, respond effectively to urgent or crisis situations, and utilize de-escalation techniques to promote patient safety and emotional stability.
RNs work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to support treatment goals and ensure continuity of care. They also provide education and guidance to patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, coping skills, and ongoing care needs.
This position requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-focused approach to care. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and passionate about making a meaningful impact as an essential member of the Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles healthcare team.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: A minimum of an associate degree in nursing.
License: Licensed as a RN to practice in the state
Experience: One year of RN experience is preferred; experience performing duties in a healthcare setting is preferred.
