The Opportunity

We are seeking Registered Midwifes to support our Birthing Unit at Kareena Private Hospital. In this role you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering comprehensive, evidence-based midwifery care to our mothers and families, in line with the core values and strategic direction. Acting in a professional manner when dealing with the health care team, patients, their families, and the wider community, you will facilitate and promote patient safety and quality care.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Skills and Experience

Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
Recent experience working within birthing & postnatal care
Knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to Midwifery practice in the workplace
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
A keen interest in labour and postnatal education

Remuneration

Base Hourly Rate of $37.75 - $53.02 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (NSW RN/Midwife gr1-gr8)

Requirements

Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
