Regional Tax and Compliance Manager

Tax

• Prepare and file timely and accurate corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
• Provide tax planning guidance and implement strategies to optimize tax liabilities.
• Research and analyze tax issues, providing recommendations to management on tax implications of potential transactions.
• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and preparation of supporting documentation for tax audits including enquiries from tax authorities.
• Implement and maintain tax accounting policies and procedures consistent with local tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Prepare tax forecasts, including estimated tax payments and cash flow projections related to tax positions.
• Support various special projects and initiatives related to tax strategy and planning.

Internal Controls and Compliance

• Development, implement, and monitor internal control frameworks and compliance policies
• Ensure financial and operational processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct periodic internal reviews to identify compliance risks and recommend improvements

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree in Taxation or MBA is preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tax, compliance and finance roles.
• Experience in corporate tax, GST, and regulatory compliance, and working with tax authorities, auditors and regulatory bodies is advantageous.
• Experience with ERP systems; proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
