Reports to: National Solution Sales Manager, US
Pay range: $110,000-$120,000/year
Location: Remote, USA
As a result of the ongoing growth and expansion of our Services business, Armstrong Fluid Technology is looking for a Regional Solution Sales Representative to support our Eastern US Sales channels. The RSSM will be responsible for growing our Lifecycle Services Offerings (Digital Services, Start-up, Commissioning, Maintenance, Energy Retrofits, Energy Upgrades, Optimization, Replacement Parts, and Training) to owners, engineers, contractors, and parts dealers in collaboration with our reps and Armstrong NSM’s, RSM’s.
The successful candidate will be working in a hands-on-field service environment with a strong commitment to customer service. They will participate in development and execution of the organization’s strategic initiatives of Digital services, energy upgrade and optimization. They will act as a key contact to other service and sales
representatives’ firms, advocate for the customer within the organization and provide feedback to factory (QA, Engineering, and Manufacturing) to improve the products and processes of the company.
Sales Activity: Services, Energy Upgrade and Optimization
The responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Own and execute regional service sales strategy and achieve bookings, sales
and margin targets
Build and manage a funnel of sales opportunities for Lifecycle Services by aligning closely with Regional Sales Managers and Armstrong Representatives
Collaborate with Key Accounts owners to ensure that Lifecycle Services are integral to the KAM plans for Owners, Armstrong Representatives, Agents, Consulting Engineers, Contractors and other value chain stakeholders
Collaborate with National Field Service Manager to support an existing network of Armstrong Solution Providers (ASP) as a key channel for field services, digital services, energy upgrade and optimization
Collaborate with the Offering Manager, Armstrong Platform & Ecosystem to build a new sales channel of Control Distributors/Representatives for control and optimization solutions
Own key account plans for major ASP. Build call plans and sales activities associated with increasing services sales to or through these accounts.
Work closely with Armstrong Aftermarket Services to ensure that opportunities identified by technicians are followed through to close
Actively participate with Offering Managers to build and enhance service offers based on feedback from customers
Responsibilities:
Utilize Armstrong CRM tool every day to track activities and opportunities
Timely and professionally handle field service calls and issues arising from the
field service visits
Travel to customer sites and conduct troubleshooting and analysis on all Armstrong products including start-ups for Design Envelope equipment, configured building equipment, controls systems, central plants, and remote monitoring for system performance assurance.
Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement corrective actions
Facilitate on-site training seminars for representatives and customers.
Maintain customer service relationship through customer phone support, on-site service visits and system commissioning activities.
Initiate Service Warranty claims for processing through the Armstrong service management system
Assist in the handling of the returned goods process
Participate in the qualification/supervision of third-party service representatives
Create and maintain service information in the company enterprise database
Ensure personal and team’s utilization targets are met
Qualifications:
Engineering degree – Mechanical or Electrical
5+ years sales experience working with engineering, manufacturing, and distribution operations
Prior experience in selling services
Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC Systems, i.e., chillers, cooling towers, pumps, AHU’s, Building Management Systems, etc.
3+ years of direct experience working with Control systems, Building Automation Systems and troubleshooting different serial or ethernet-based communication protocols: BACnet, Modbus, TCP/IP, MSTP
Proficient in reading wiring diagrams and a strong understanding of IP networks
Preferred: BAS programming; Commissioning and start-ups
Previous experience conducting training and development classes for customers
Ability to deliver technical support, coaching and direction to end users and other Service Technicians as applicable
Ability to think clearly and logically, analyze quantitatively, problem solve, define technical requirements, break down complex problems in a simplified way, and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations.
Ability to establish objectives, handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and drive results and work both independently and as part of a team and learn new tools
Service background in engineered product manufacturing/marketing/distribution organization is a definite advantage
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
