About the Team

The Specialized Product Sales team drives the adoption of Workday’s most innovative and strategic solutions. We focus on technologies that redefine the enterprise experience through Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and extensible architecture.

We are seeking an exceptional sales leader to lead a high-performance team focused on a powerful trifecta: Workday’s Platform portfolio (Extend, AI Agents, Data Cloud), the AI Talent Suite (HiredScore, Paradox), and Workday-Evisort (Contract Intelligence). This leader will be at the forefront of Workday’s "Total Talent" and "Intelligent Enterprise" narratives.

About the Role

As a Regional Sales Director, you will drive the sales motion for Workday’s most advanced AI and platform technologies across Australia and New Zealand. You will manage a team of Sales Specialists while personally engaging in high-impact opportunities to differentiate Workday as the leading enterprise platform for extensibility, talent orchestration, and contract intelligence.

In this role, you will:

• Drive Unified GTM Execution: Operates with a GM mindset to partner with HCM and Financials sellers, Solution Consulting, and Partners to maximize pipeline across complex, multi-product deals.

• Lead & Coach: Hire, lead, and mentor a team of Product Sales Specialists, fostering expertise across platform extensibility, AI-driven recruiting, and automated contract analytics.

• Champion the AI Narrative: Guide complex enterprise sales motions by evangelizing Workday’s AI Agents and Document Intelligence. You will articulate how AI automates SOW creation, powers talent rediscovery, and enables "Responsible AI" compliance.

• Persona-Based Value Proposition:

• IT & Dev Leaders: Position Workday Extend and Data Cloud as the secure foundation for building native apps and unified data access.

• CHROs & Heads of TA: Demonstrate how the AI Talent Suite (HiredScore & Paradox) supercharges hiring through conversational AI and talent orchestration.

• Legal & Procurement: Position Evisort to show how AI extracts data from unstructured contracts to reduce risk and spend.

• ​Demand Generation: Lead initiatives that advance Workday’s vision for an open, extensible, and AI-powered enterprise.

About You

You are a hands-on sales leader who thrives in emerging product areas. You have a proven track record of selling disruptive technologies—specifically enterprise platforms and AI-enabled innovation. You excel at navigating complex, consultative sales motions and can bridge the gap between technical extensibility and business-level ROI.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of Enterprise experience across Sales, Product, or Pre-sales

• Strategic Leadership: 2+ years of management experience, driving team performance and operational excellence within the cloud/SaaS space.

• Domain Expertise: 5+ years experience in Enterprise Platforms, Talent Management/HR tech, or Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM).

• Sales Mastery: 5+ years in experience navigating complex, end-to-end sales cycles for high-growth solutions with a consistent record of quota attainment.

• Specialized Knowledge: 2+ years of direct experience selling or leading teams in extensibility (low-code/no-code), AI-enabled solutions, or data platforms.
 

Other Qualifications:

• Executive Presence: Proven ability to engage and influence C-level stakeholders (CIO, CTO, CHRO, and Chief Legal Officers)

• Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of how AI, automation, and data platforms apply to enterprise use cases like process automation and risk analysis.

• Strategic Mindset: Ability to incorporate data-driven insights and AI-powered forecasting into sales strategy.

• Adaptability: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving product environment
