We are looking for a talented, dedicated professional to be a China-based Regional Recruitment Manager for Flinders University Academy. The Regional Recruitment Manager (called a “Program Officer” at Grok) will be based in Guangzhou and will be fully dedicated to representing the institution.
The role’s primary focus will maintain and develop close relationships with education agents in the designated region and attend relevant events and activities to drive student recruitment and develop strategic partnerships for Flinders University Academy. Additionally, the Regional Recruitment Manager will collaborate closely with the Regional Manager, Flinders University, and in-country Flinders representatives, to support relevant recruitment activities of Flinders University.

Key Position Responsibilities
Working with the Recruitment Manager to implement the Academy’s Recruitment and Marketing Strategic Plan.
Working in collaboration with the Flinders Recruitment and Marketing teams to undertake activities related to both Flinders Academy and Flinders University strategic priorities.
Contributing to the development of operational recruitment plans for designated recruitment markets which directly contribute to the overarching Academy recruitment targets.
Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with recruitment agents, partner institutions, prospective students and other organisations that are positioned to promote the Academy and Flinders University in the international student recruitment sector.
Managing high end customer service delivery to prospective students, partners and relevant stakeholders which contribute towards recruitment outcomes for the Academy within designated recruitment markets.
Identifying and recommending new initiatives which will assist in managing campaigns and events to meet recruitment targets.
Driving engagement activities throughout the student acquisition cycle utilising digital systems including Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics CRM system and other digital platforms to effectively engage with prospective students and manage external client relationships.
Professionally and appropriately representing the Academy and Flinders University at relevant events (forums, international recruitment events & roadshows, etc.) at local, national and international levels.
Directly contribute to maintaining positive team culture, a collaborative operational environment and commitment to personal and professional development.
Undertaking international and domestic travel as directed to promote Flinders University Academy and Flinders University via various forums including education roadshow, agent event, school fairs etc.
The Most Suitable Background
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated skills, knowledge and relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.
Demonstrated experience and commitment to delivery of high-level customer service including contributing towards a strong client focused culture in a team environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working in an international environment preferably Australian international student recruitment and promoting international education.
Well-developed analytical skills, including the ability to align activity to achievement of performance-based targets, identify business opportunities and implement operational initiatives to ensure successful delivery of outcomes.
Demonstrated experience working in complex situations and with a high level of autonomy in an international environment.
Well-developed organisational skills including demonstrated experience in meeting operational objectives for on-going tasks and specific tasks/projects in a complex business environment.
Well-developed computing skills including the ability to effectively utilise web and computer-based systems and familiarity with the Microsoft suite of programs and experience in the use of CRM systems.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills that contribute to effective operational processes and build constructive relationships.
Demonstrated experience working with international students, including an understanding of other cultures and the ability to communicate in a cross-cultural working environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian University Higher Education system and an understanding of the Australian international student sector as it relates to international student recruitment.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team context and with internal stakeholders.
The ability to speak Mandarin is essential for this role, and some proficiency in Cantonese is also desirable.
Prescribed Conditions of Employment
Pursuant to Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA) this position has been deemed prescribed. It is an inherent requirement of the position that the successful candidate maintains a current Working with Children Check or Chinese equivalent which is satisfactory to the Academy.
It is a requirement of this position that the incumbent maintain a valid National Police Certificate or Chinese equivalent which is satisfactory to the Academy.
The Most Suitable Background
4-7+ years of experience in marketing and sales, preferably within the international education sector.
Experience representing a well-known institution is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
Strong English fluency, including proficiency in business writing and the ability to discuss strategy and analysis with English-speaking stakeholders.
Study or work experience abroad is highly preferred; experience in Australia is a strong plus.
Demonstrated experiences that reflect creativity, hard work, persistence, and a strong drive to succeed.
Demonstrated experience with data analytics and the ability to make data-driven recommendations.
