The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to establish and drive the Sales Excellence function across Teleport's regional footprint. This is a critical change-agent role responsible for elevating the performance, culture, and capabilities of our country-level sales teams. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in enterprise sales, deep experience in the air transportation or logistics industry, and a proven track record in orchestrating large-scale sales transformation initiatives.Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy, Process, and Performance Elevation (Excellence Design):
• Process Standardization: Design, implement, and govern world-class sales processes (from lead generation to contracting and account management) to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability across all markets.
• Technology & Data Insights: Own the adoption and utilization of the Sales CRM and related tools. Lead data-mining and sophisticated sales analysis to identify performance gaps, untapped market opportunities, and predictive sales insights.
• KPI Management: Define and manage regional Sales Excellence KPIs, focusing on pipeline health, sales cycle velocity, forecast accuracy, and adherence to best practices.
2. Cultural and Talent Transformation (Change Management):
• Sales Culture Change: Drive a high-performance, customer-centric sales culture, ensuring every country sales team member embodies Teleport’s values and professional standards in their conduct, negotiation, and relationship management.
• Training & Enablement: Design and deliver regional sales training programs (on-boarding, product knowledge, negotiation skills, relationship selling, and CRM usage) to elevate the technical and soft skills of the team.
• Coaching & Mentoring: Work directly with Country Sales Heads to embed best practices, coach complex deal negotiation, and improve individual sales planning and execution.
3. Negotiation and Account Management Conduct:
• Set the "Teleport Standard" for sales conduct, negotiation strategy, and professionalism in key account management.
• Act as a senior resource and subject matter expert in complex, strategic negotiations to coach the team and ensure optimal deal structure and profitability.
Requirements:
• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in B2B/Enterprise Sales, Sales Operations, or Sales Excellence roles within a high-growth, regional environment.
• Industry Expertise (Preferred): Significant and demonstrable direct sales experience within the air transportation, air cargo, or freight forwarding industry is highly preferred.
• Change Management Acumen: Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to large-scale organizational change management or sales transformation programs.
• Analytical Skills: Expert proficiency in utilizing sales data, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and business intelligence tools for deep analysis and actionable insight generation.
• Leadership: Strong ability to influence, motivate, and manage stakeholders across diverse geographical and cultural teams without direct reporting authority.
• Communication: Exceptional presentation, training, and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in a key Southeast Asian language is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commercial Management, or a related field. An advanced degree is a benefit.
