Position:
We are looking to recruit a Regional E- Billing Accountant based out of the firm’s headquarters in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Report to: Regional Billing Manager, Financial Controller, CFO
Key internal relationships: Partners, Project Managers, and Finance Managers.
Key external relationships: Dealing directly with Clients.
Salary range: Competitive, varying based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
Position type: Full time.
Commencement: As soon as possible.
Applicants eligible: Any experienced candidate residing in Cambodia.
Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Main duties of the role:
• Act as the primary point of contact for client e‑billing platforms and billing systems used by DFDL Group.
• Maintain and apply client‑specific billing guidelines, task codes, rates, and matter configurations.
• Review prebills for compliance before submission to clients and e‑billing portals.
• Resolve billing rejections, exceptions, short payments, and client billing queries in coordination with Partners and Finance.
• Liaise with clients’ finance or e‑billing contacts on billing‑related matters where required.
• Support monthly billing cycles and ensure accurate posting and audit trail within the finance system.
• Maintain client billing matrices, internal billing notes, and documented billing procedures.
• Support Country Finance Managers in ensuring billing processes comply with group finance controls.
• Assist Group Finance with standardization of billing practices across jurisdictions.
• Track basic billing quality indicators (e.g. rejections, resubmissions, turnaround time).
• Provide billing system support to fee earners and finance users, including guidance on common billing issues.
• Assist with testing and implementation of billing system enhancements or updates coordinated by Group Finance.
• Escalate recurring system or process issues to the appropriate finance or IT stakeholders.
• Participate in professional development and Firm administrative activities as requested; and
• Other tasks not specifically listed in this document may be assigned to you from time to time.
Requirements:
Essential skills & proficiency
• Hold a tertiary degree;
• Have a minimum of three years work experience in e‑billing, preferably in a law firm or similar environment.
• Experience operating in a regional or multi‑jurisdictional environment and multiple variances of e-billing systems.
• Experience with Legal Tracker, Ariba Standard, Coupa Supply Portal, Oracle Fusion platform, TyMetrix 360, would be an advantage
• Demonstrate a good approach to problem-solving, including lateral thinking ability;
• Has excellent communication skills in spoken and written English;
• Has an enthusiastic attitude towards building a career;
• Demonstrates the ability to take initiative and pay close attention to detail;
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills;
• Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload; and
• Proficient with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Desired skills & experience:
• Friendly and approachable, with good people skills.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
• Languages other than English and Khmer would be an advantage.
