Purpose of the Position: Overall responsibilities: Responsible for multiple site supervision; development, planning, coordination, organization, implementation and evaluation of nursing program activities at the WFS sites; Assists the Dean of WFS in various aspects of overall program planning and implementation; assists with special projects; supervises the Assistant Deans at designated WFS sites.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plans, develops, manages, updates and evaluates all aspects of the programs assigned in WFS
• Provides regional level oversight and support to WFS Assistant Deans
• Prepares data and other written materials for all required state and Nursing Board requirements, reports, proposals, self- studies, surveys, and site visits
• Assists with identifying and obtaining outside resources for the nursing program
• Develops and implements program policies and procedures
• Organizes and serves on committees
• Oversees admission process and orientation
• Effectively serves as a liaison between the workforce partners and the college
• Develops and maintains educational partnerships with clinical sites
• Performs clinical site evaluations that include a thorough assessment of the ability of the agency to provide clinical experiences that meet the objectives for application of theory and clinical course objectives. The assessment includes an analysis of risk, hazards and safety of all students, as well as ensuring adequate staffing to handle clinical objectives
• Maintains evaluations by students, clinical sites representatives, and faculty at completion of each semester and provides summary report to the Dean of WFS
• Ensures clinical contracts are updated and maintained
• Participates in nursing faculty recruitment, hiring and orientation
• Facilitates nursing faculty meetings on a regular basis and ensures adequate records and minutes of the meetings are maintained
• Assigns and schedules faculty to course and clinical sites
• Monitors quality of instruction and participates in faculty and program review, evaluation, and strategic planning
• Provides advising, support, and planning assistance to potential students as needed
• Provides input and ensure that students are properly oriented to nursing skills lab and clinical facilities prior to initiating clinical rotations
• Assures that all students have completed the necessary documentation and met the requirements for graduation and licensing exam
• Participates in the planning and implementation of the Nursing Advisory Committee meetings for the WFS partner sites
• Participates in professional development; maintains CE hours
• Maintains current knowledge of State rules and regulations as related to the practice of nursing
• Participates in Faculty Development activities
• Assists with programmatic policy review and development
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary: 165k - 175k depending on experience

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Hold a current active license as a Registered Nurse
• Hold a Doctorate in Nursing (DNP) degree from an approved school - preferred
• Hold a Masters in Nursing (MSN) from an approved school - required
• Have a minimum of eight years’ experience as a registered nurse
• Have a minimum of five years nursing education classroom and clinical teaching experience; online teaching experience also preferred
• Nursing education leadership experience required
• Have completed a course or courses offered by an approved school with instruction in administration, teaching, and curriculum
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification
