The Regional Campaigns Director is responsible for leading multi-million dollar campaigns to promote Planned Parenthood's mission to provide comprehensive reproductive health services to all people, regardless of their income level.

Job Description

Planned Parenthood is the nation’s leading provider and advocate of high-quality, affordable sexual and reproductive health care for all people, as well as the nation’s largest provider of sex education. Planned Parenthood organizations serve all people with care and compassion, with respect, and without judgment, striving to create equitable access to health care. Through health centers, programs in schools and communities, and online resources, Planned Parenthood is a trusted source of reliable education and information that allows people to make informed health decisions. We do all this because we care passionately about helping people lead healthier lives.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates, which operate non-profit health centers across the U.S. PPFA also works to educate the public on and advocate for issues of sexual and reproductive health. Formed as the advocacy arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Planned Parenthood Action Fund is a separate non-profit membership organization tax-exempt under section 501(c)(4). The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and limited electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education in furtherance of the Planned Parenthood mission.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (Action Fund) seek a Regional Campaigns Director to advance shared campaign goals between state and national teams. This job reports to the Senior Director of Regional Campaigns and Capacity in the Organizing and Engagement Campaigns department. The Organizing and Engagement Campaigns department provides support to local PP organizations, cross-divisional campaign alignment and implementation, and internal coordination in building long-term organizing power to protect and expand access to sexual and reproductive health care and ensure that those most impacted by policy decisions have a say in those decisions.

Purpose::
The Regional Campaign Director (RCD) serves as the lead strategist for advancing Planned Parenthood’s advocacy, electoral, and policy campaigns within an assigned multi-state region. Working in close partnership with local Planned Parenthood advocacy and political organizations, the RCD develops, adapts, and implements campaign strategies that advance sexual and reproductive healthcare and rights (SRHR), defend Planned Parenthood from legislative and political attacks, and build durable political power.

They work with internal and external partners, and collaborate with colleagues nationally as well as local PP organizations.

The RCD develops and optimizes campaign plans in a portfolio of states. Campaigns within the RCD’s designated region advance access to SRHR where possible, or combat attacks on Planned Parenthood from state legislatures or Governors, as well as Congress or hostile Administrations, while working to expand and build political power. Working across departments within national office leadership, the RCD builds relationships, identifies strategic opportunities for growth and advocacy, and serves as a high-level strategic consultant and expert for issue, advocacy, and political organizing to local PP organizations within their region. As PPFA and PP Action Fund pursue a targeted campaign to defeat federal attacks on sexual and reproductive health and rights, the RCD coordinates joint responses with Planned Parenthood affiliates.
