In this role, you will join the Operational Accounting team supporting a high-growth business unit in a global payments technology company. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial information, analyzing business processes to drive automation, and ensuring compliance with corporate requirements and internal controls.
What you can expect from this role (Responsibilities)
Perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of differences.
Conduct account analysis, explaining variances and trends with a driver-based, data-backed approach.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for the group.
Execute and document SOX controls and other internal controls, maintaining clear audit trails.
Analyze business processes and propose improvement opportunities, focusing on standardization and automation.
Manage accounts payable, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and expenses/budget tracking.
Support external and internal audits by preparing workpapers and supporting documentation.
Post accounting journal entries supported by complete analysis and consistent application of policies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.3+ years of experience in Accounting teams, ideally in multinational or high-growth environments.
Solid knowledge of accounting postings/imputations, debits/credits, and key close processes.
Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling).
Advanced/Fluent English (written and spoken) for daily international collaboration.
General understanding of IFRS and core financial statements.
Ability to work in a fast-changing environment and deliver on tight month-end timelines.
Nice to have
Experience using ERPs such as SAP (Fiori), Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Experience with process automation or data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Alteryx, RPA).
Exposure to emerging markets, payments, fintech, or high-transaction-volume businesses.
Experience with group-level/corporate reporting packages and consolidations.
