Position Summary
We’re looking for a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic passionate about precision, enjoy solving technical challenges, and take pride in delivering top-quality HVAC solutions, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems and equipment
Set up new systems, including wiring, piping, and other necessary connections
Perform brazing of pipe and install all refrigeration components
Review drawings to understand compressor functions and perform QC checks before units move to testing
Conduct start-up and commissioning of ICE equipment in the shop
Complete quality checklists and test equipment to ensure proper functioning
Identify potential problems to prevent premature breakdowns
Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations
Support R&D projects and other assigned duties
Travel occasionally to testing facilities or job sites for warranty issues
Qualifications
Red Seal Certificate or 4th Year Level Apprentice in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical and A/C equipment
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Ability to repair A/C systems, fix leaks, recharge, and operate all necessary tools and equipment
Valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and ability to pass background and drug tests as required
Willingness to work overtime and travel if needed
Electrical and automation experience is an asset
