Refined Fuel Delivery Driver

We are now hiring for an Refined Fuel Delivery Driver for our Syracuse, NE location!  This position is being offered as full-time with benefits.

A Refined Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering propane and/or fuel in a safe, and efficient manner to customers within a designated territory.  The position requires a class B CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements. To assure your success in this position, Frontier Cooperative provides industry-specific training and tools necessary to obtain proper credentials and certifications required for this position.

Essential duties:  

Requires a CDL Class A or Class B license with HazMat and Tanker endorsements to operate the refined fuel tractor/trailer or straight trucks to transport refined fuels from bulk plants or terminals to customer’s private property and/or to retail fuel stations.

Prepare truck to receive refined fuels from bulk company locations or vendor terminals, connect hoses for transfer of product onto truck; operate the transfer system; monitor overflow meters; fill truck to required amounts by monitoring fuel meters; when transfer is complete, secure hoses and prepare truck for transport.

Prepare truck to receive refined fuels from bulk company locations or vendor terminals, establish the most efficient and effective daily routes to deliver product to customers through the trade territory; prepare truck for transfer & delivery of product to customer’s fuel tanks, connect hoses to customer tanks; set fill meters to amount of gallons needed to be transferred; fill customer tanks to required or requested amounts; monitor over-flow gauges; when transfer is complete, the driver secures hoses to truck; leaves delivery tickets with customer and completes delivery documentation on the company software system.

Monitors fuel prices and promotes customers on diesel and refined fuel price fluctuations.

Job skills and requirements:

Customer service; transporting a variety of products, manual labor, safety protocols, time management, problem solving and analyzing information.

Operate safely a variety of commercial vehicles, trencher; boom truck; hose couplers; pneumatic and hand tools; bench tools; computers and company software programs.

Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or electronic form; read and interpret, work orders, batch loads, gauges, meters, directional and plot maps, safety rules, CDL driving rules and laws, weigh tickets, load and delivery tickets, operating and maintenance procedure manuals and instructions.

Able to write and record D.O.T. inspection and maintenance reports, mileage and fuel reports, complete work orders and general correspondence.

Perform basic math computations. Such as; add, subtract, multiply, divide, proportions, percentages, and volume
