Role Overview
We are looking for a Referrer Relationship Lead to join our Northamptonshire site. This will be 24-40 hours over 3-5 days per week.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Referrer Relationship Lead is responsible for developing great relationships with all optical partners, and driving ophthalmology referrals into the service. This is a blended role, and it is expected that 70% of the week will be field-based travelling throughout Northamptonshire, South Leicestershire and Milton Keynes areas, with the remaining time spent within the service, planning, analysing data, building effective referrer engagement plans and tracking overall referrer performance. You will be promoting Newmedica Northampton’s services, patient choice, as well as be an ambassador for our behaviours and vision within the community.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing excellent services to a diverse group of colleagues working across our network of referrers, delivering first class care and improving the lives of our patients.
What skills and experience do I need?
Full UK driving license
Healthcare experience, Ophthalmology services desirable
An understanding of NHS policy and referral routes
Influencing and negotiation skills
Personable approach to face to face engagement
Ability to motivate, challenge and engage individuals and teams
Strong verbal and written communicator, who is able to build strong trusting relationships internally and externally
Strong organisational skills
Self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast moving, results orientated organisation independently
Can analyse data identifying areas of strength and opportunity
Able to effectively prioritise and execute things in a timely way and to deadlines
Computer literate (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Presenting to small and larger groups
Facilitating meetings
Action planning
Organisation and planning events
What we’re offering
24-40 hours per week.

A salary starting at £30,000 FTE [depending on experience].
