ABOUT THE PROJECT / ROLE:
Reporting to the Team Lead, you will become the point of contact for all Reference datasets, collaborating with colleagues globally and development teams across UK and LT. We work predominantly on legacy systems while participating in the ongoing migration to our Snowflake database. We also use GitHub and Azure. Day-to-day activities are a mixture of investigation, analysis, and data entry.
YOU WILL BE:
Ensuring a uniform set of data that provides consistency across all platforms
Maintaining the Seats/fleet/Amenities databases
Identifying and creating specialised reports to be used in pro-actively maintaining database updates
Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all processes, ensuring that it includes up-to-date procedural steps and is readily accessible for reference and training purposes.
Liaising with industry bodies to negotiate and validate data points, ensuring OAG’s alignment with industry standards.
Attending relevant industry meetings to contribute insights and foster collaborative partnerships.
Identifying areas within our data where enhancements can be implemented and communicate these findings to the respective teams for further action and improvement.
Resolving Salesforce queries in a timely manner to reduce data quality issues.
Providing cover for, and maintaining Minimum Connection Time database.
Providing audience-appropriate training and supporting internal teams on Reference-related processes and database usage when required.
YOU NEED TO HAVE:
Proficiency in Excel and ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets with high degree of accuracy
Knowledge of basic SQL
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritize workload when necessary to achieve deadlines
High level of understanding of new database tables and new products derived from those tables.
Experience handling large volumes of data.
