Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Red Hat OpenStack & OpenShift Architect in our Consulting Team in Bangalore, India What you’ll achieve As a Red Hat OpenStack & OpenShift Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of virtualization and containerization solutions using Red Hat OpenShift. This role requires a deep understanding of Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and virtualization technologies, along with strong architectural expertise to support enterprise-level infrastructure projects. You will: Design and implement highly scalable and resilient OpenShift-based virtualization solutions and develop architectural frameworks and best practices for hybrid and multi-cloud OpenShift deployments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect solutions that align with client requirements and business goals. Lead the deployment of OpenShift Virtualization to integrate both containerized and virtualized workloads. Create templates, workflows, and automation to streamline provisioning and scaling of resources in OpenShift and implement CI/CD pipelines for OpenShift environments to enhance software deployment processes. Optimize OpenShift cluster performance, monitoring, and scalability. Analyze and improve workload performance in virtualized environments, ensuring high availability and efficient resource usage. Serve as a technical advisor for OpenShift Virtualization topics, guiding other teams and clients. Conduct hands-on workshops, training sessions, and architectural reviews with stakeholders. Document architectural designs, configurations, and best practices and develop standards for system hardening, security, and network configurations within the OpenShift ecosystem Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements Previous experience in IT Transformation Consulting, at least 15+ years directly related work experience in the Information Technology field and 10+ years of relevant experience is expected. Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) and Kubernetes ecosystem. Proficient in virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, VMware) and OpenShift Virtualization ad in-depth knowledge of Linux systems administration and networking. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Argo CD, or GitLab CI. Strong hands-on expertise in BOTH Red Hat OpenStack and Red Hat OpenShift (mandatory). Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially with tools like Ansible and Terraform. Sound understanding of Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) concepts and implementations. Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid/multi-cloud architecture. Understanding of DevOps practices and principles, including containerization, automation, and monitoring tools and experience in designing up to medium complexity solutions with hybrid or private cloud architecture. Deep understanding of deployment, management and administration of Industry top IT Automation and Orchestration tools Experience in Datacenter migration using various methods (ex. P2V, V2V) and tools. Strong consulting mindset with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and proven experience leading architecture discussions with CXOs, IT leaders, and business teams. Ability to mentor architects and senior engineers. Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments Preferred certifications: Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator (EX280) OpenStack certifications (COA/RHOSP) Desirable Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Ability to work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment. An active listener with excellent communications and interpersonal skills with an ability to read complex customer situations and adapt as needed. VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or VCIX are highly desirable. Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is suitable.
