Job Purpose
The Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates to meet the company’s staffing needs. This role plays a key part in supporting our talent acquisition strategy and ensuring an excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
Perform searches for qualified candidates using multiple sources, including databases, networking, online job boards, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, and employee referrals
Represent Ad Astra at various events and act as the company’s ambassador to prospective clients and candidates
Respond to client requests or inquiries for recruitment services in a professional and timely manner
Participate in daily and weekly team meetings, leadership sessions, and company improvement initiatives
Support continuous improvement efforts within the HR and Recruitment teams
Complete other assigned tasks and duties related to the recruitment function
Qualifications
Education: Associate Degree (required)
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of recruitment or related experience
Required Skills and Competencies
Excellent active listening and attention to detail
Highly organized with strong follow-through
Clear and concise communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong coordination and public speaking abilities
High level of social perceptiveness and empathy
Skilled in negotiation, judgment, and decision-making
Ability to handle complex problem-solving situations effectively
Required Knowledge
Proficiency in English reading and writing
Strong understanding of administration and management principles
Familiarity with standard sourcing techniques and candidate qualification processes
Awareness of recruitment trends and best practices
Knowledge of customer and personal service
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Understanding of personnel and human resources management
Experience with high-volume recruitment and long-term project oversight
Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and sourcing databases
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other productivity tools
Skilled in social media recruiting and outreach
