Recruitment and Workforce Administrator — Wollongong
Department: Operations
Reports to: Workforce Strategy Officer
Classification: SCHADS Award — Social & Community Services Level 2.1
Salary: $34.58 per hour + super + leave entitlements (Part Time)
Sydney Health & Care Services (SHCS) is growing in Wollongong, and we're looking for a proactive Recruitment and Workforce Administrator to support the hiring process and workforce management.
Your Hours
This is a part time position – 15 to 20 hours per week
Working hours:
10am to 3pm Monday to Wednesday (15 hours)
Or
10am to 3pm Monday to Thursday (20 hours)
What You'll Do
Assist in preparing and posting job advertisements on job boards and company career pages.
Screen resumes and shortlist candidates based on job requirements.
Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
Communicate with applicants about interview times, outcomes, and next steps.
Assist with reference checks and background checks.
Prepare employment contracts and offer letters.
Collect and verify new employee documents (IDs, clearance checks, work rights) etc.)
Arrange onboarding schedules and orientation sessions.
Ensure all pre-employment requirements are completed.
Maintain and update employee records in Employee Registers
Track employee start dates, contract renewals, and probation periods
Liaise with hiring managers regarding job requirements and recruitment status.
About You
Previous admin experience in a busy, service-oriented environment.
Confident with Microsoft Office and quick to learn systems (ShiftCare, BambooHR, SharePoint a plus).
Strong communication skills — clear, professional, and friendly.
Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail.
Respectful of confidentiality and compliance requirements.
Australian citizenship or permanent residency with unrestricted work rights
Ability to obtain National Police Check, NDISWC, and Working with Children Check
Nice to have:
Experience in community, disability, health or allied health settings.
Familiarity with SCHADS and NDIS context.
