Job Description
Recruiting Lead
TechTorch | Remote | Full-Time
The Opportunity
At TechTorch, we're a bunch of non-conformist dreamers who believe the way technology consulting works today is fundamentally broken – and we’ve set out to redefine it. We combine the speed of a startup with the rigor demanded by the world's most sophisticated clients, delivering AI-powered solutions that create measurable impact. Our founders bring deep roots in top-tier consulting as well as operator experience at Cisco and Nike. Bootstrapped and profitable, we are growing fast and we're just getting started.
To unlock our growth, we’re looking for a Recruiting Lead to own our talent acquisition engine at this pivotal moment. This role combines hands-on execution with leadership: you’ll personally drive hiring outcomes – sourcing, closing, and raising the bar on talent quality – while shaping the recruiting team and processes needed to scale. If you are energized by closing strong candidates while building a recruiting function that can support our growth, this role is for you.
What You'll Own
Hiring Execution
• Deliver 4-6 high-quality hires per month across U.S. consulting roles (Analyst to Senior Manager)
• Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline through proactive outbound sourcing, referral activation, and inbound management
• Run sharp screening interviews, coordinate a seamless process, and close top candidates
• Report hiring performance and pipeline outlook directly to leadership
Team Leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop recruiters, set quality standards, and improve team-wide performance
• Build the recruiting infrastructure – processes, SLAs, and reporting – that allows the team to scale
Strategy & Intelligence
• Partner with leadership on hiring strategy and candidate evaluation standards
• Use data to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements in speed, conversion, and quality
• Leverage AI tools to sharpen sourcing effectiveness across the team
• Bring market intelligence on compensation, talent trends, and competitor hiring
Who Thrives Here
You know the consulting and IT talent landscape well – and you go get them. You don't wait for inbound. You build relationships with passive candidates, know how to make a compelling case for a career move, and close with confidence.
You're also ready to lead. Not just manage – but set a standard, develop others, and take ownership of outcomes beyond your own.
Specifically, you bring:
• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in the U.S. market
• A track record of consistently delivering 4–6 hires per month in a high-demand environment
• Strong outbound sourcing capability – proactively building pipelines is your default
• The ability to quickly map and penetrate new talent markets
• Experience leading or mentoring other recruiters and raising team-wide hiring standards
• Comfort using data to manage recruiting performance and improve outcomes
• Familiarity with modern ATS and AI tools
• Authorization to work in the United States
Experience that can accelerate your impact:
• Familiarity with consulting or IT consulting talent markets (Big Four, Accenture, technology or strategy consulting)
• An existing network among consulting or IT professionals
• Experience in scaling a recruiting function
• Experience configuring and using Ashby ATS
What We Offer
• A pivotal role in our growth story. Hiring is the constraint on our growth today – which means your work directly determines how fast TechTorch can scale.
• Direct access to leadership and real influence. You’ll report to the COO and work closely with hiring managers to shape how we attract and evaluate talent.
• High ownership and trust. We hire smart people and give them room to operate. You’ll have autonomy to run your function and deliver results without unnecessary layers or bureaucracy.
• A profitable, fast-growing company. Bootstrapped, financially disciplined, and scaling quickly – with real momentum behind the business.
• Remote-first flexibility. Work where you are most productive.
• Competitive compensation and benefits. A strong compensation package including health coverage and additional benefits.
• A team that raises the bar. You’ll work alongside sharp, pragmatic people who care about doing great work and moving quickly.
