VISION:

SCOPE:
The Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas.
The Recruiter plays a critical role in ensuring ONWA is hiring the best possible talent by developing and executing recruitment plans, networking through industry contacts, association memberships, partnerships and employees, coordinating/implementing college/university recruiting initiatives, administrative duties, and recordkeeping. The Recruiter is proactive about ONWA’s recruitment needs and takes current trends into account when seeking out, prescreening, interviewing, and testing applicants to locate qualified employees for job openings. This role partners with all hiring Managers to ensure portfolios are pro-actively staffed. The Recruiter will have an essential role in the ongoing development and implementation of a recruitment strategy that works for all locations across the province. They will guide the hiring Managers on full cycle recruitment, train them on best recruitment practices and creatively work with them to attract the best candidates possible.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Recruiter will work in a fast-paced working environment and will work in a collaborative manner that supports all recruitment functions for the ONWA. The Recruiter is a key function within the Human Resources portfolio and integral to the organization’s success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A post-secondary Diploma in Human Resources with 1-3 year of proven work experience in recruitment and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years demonstrated experience with full cycle recruitment
1-3 years demonstrated experience working with human resource information systems and applicant tracking systems.
Innovative thinker, able to use and develop new sources of recruitment.
Proven experience working in a collaborative setting, preferably not for profit
Knowledge and working experience with legislative requirements related to employment law
Thorough understanding of confidentiality
Ability to analyze and provide proactive solutions.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and effectively establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships
Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally, to all stakeholders
Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and effectively handle changing priorities.
Excellent organizational skills and can be accurate and provide quality work.
Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of HRIS, applicant tracking systems, data entry, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, and Office 365 along with various office equipment
Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and be able to improve performance through management feedback.
Reliable vehicle, appropriate vehicle insurance coverage and valid Ontario “G” class driver’s license.
Current, valid vulnerable sector criminal records check. Valid 1st Aid/CPR.
A cellular phone and internet access are required within this position
Must be willing and able to work a flexible working from home arrangement if required. This may include a combination of virtual remote work in your home and in office arrangements. This will be based on operational needs and will be determined by the ONWA.
Ability to speak an Indigenous Language is considered an asset.

The full salary range for this role is $56,400 - $69,405. ONWA conducts annual performance reviews, and employees may be eligible for salary adjustments based on performance outcomes and available funding.
