Recreation Supervisor Overview:
The Recreation Supervisor is responsible for supporting and overseeing the daily operations of the Cobre Valley Recreation Center, ensuring high-quality service delivery, financial efficiency, and a safe, welcoming environment for members and guests. This position works closely with leadership to implement strategic initiatives, optimize resources, and promote programs and services across all facility areas.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the fitness center, golf course, sport courts, pool, and event spaces.
Develop and implement operational systems and procedures; advise leadership on policy improvements.
Support budgeting efforts, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control strategies.
Assist with marketing, outreach, and communication efforts.
Track inventory and assist with ordering supplies and equipment.
Coordinate scheduling and staffing coverage.
Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor staff.
Provide leadership, coaching, and team development.
Investigate and resolve member concerns and service issues.
Enforce policies, procedures, and disciplinary actions.
Prepare operational, attendance, and financial reports.
Monitor facility conditions and coordinate maintenance and safety.
Support special events, tournaments, and community programs.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and risk-management standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to understand and apply verbal and written instructions in English.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and occasionally high-stress environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use basic computer systems for operations and reporting.

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of relevant experience OR Bachelors Degree and one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Required Certifications:
Current CPR for the Professional, AED, First Aid, and Arizona Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
This position requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and indoor, aquatic and outdoor work. Risher Amenity Management is a drug- and alcohol-free workplace in accordance with applicable laws.
