As a Recovery Support Services Associate, you’ll be a vital part of this mission. You'll offer compassionate coaching, advocacy, and access to essential resources for individuals working toward recovery. You’ll walk alongside clients on their journey, providing tools, support, and encouragement every step of the way.
In this role, you’ll engage directly with individuals impacted by opioid use disorder by helping them create personalized recovery care plans, navigate services, and stay on track with their goals. Your work will strengthen our community and bring hope to those who need it most.
What You'll Do
As a Recovery Support Services Associate, you’ll work closely with our dedicated RSS Team to:
Coordinate personalized recovery care plans
Provide one-on-one coaching and crisis support.
Connect individuals with essential services.
Lead recovery groups and conduct outreach.
Track progress and support long-term wellness.
You’ll be a bridge between resources and real people, between crisis and healing.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Assist in coordinating program activities with the RSS team.
Conduct client intakes and develop individualized recovery care plans.
Collect and manage client data (GPRA and agency-required).
Facilitate or co-lead classes such as School for Recovery and Recovery Circles.
Promote the program through outreach and collaboration with referral sources.
Help clients navigate healthcare services, including dental appointments.
Ensure compliance with all privacy regulations and confidentiality policies.
Prepare monthly reports and support internal operations.
Actively engage in team meetings, community events, and required trainings.
What You Bring to the Table
Education & Experience:
Associate’s Degree in Addiction Studies or 4+ years of experience in substance use disorders and/or mental health
Strong knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred
Familiarity with grant implementation, Medicaid transformation, and bi-directional integration is a plus
Prior outreach or community engagement experience is a plus.
Licenses & Certifications:
Valid Washington State Driver’s License and reliable transportation with insurance
CCAR Recovery Coach Certificate and/or Washington State Certified Peer Counselor preferred (or willing to obtain within 90 days)
Skills & Abilities:
Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
Compassionate, client-focused, and team-oriented
Knowledge of documentation processes and recovery support
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to conduct online research and work with proprietary databases
Understanding and respect for the recovery process, particularly in substance use disorder treatment
