Summary
We are seeking a Recovery Advocate to join our team at New Dawn Treatment Center. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our medical staff and enhancing the client experience through compassionate care and efficient medical assistance.
Responsibilities
Assist healthcare providers with client examinations and procedures.
Take and record vital signs and medical histories accurately.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the medical office environment.
Provide exceptional client service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
Maintain accurate client records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Support the medical team in delivering high-quality care to clients.
Under supervision of medical staff, monitors, logs, and report detoxification symptoms and/ or significant changes to Director of Nursing, Staff Nurse, or on call MD.
Medication pass (controlled and non-controlled)/ observation of self-administration. Physical documentation of controlled medications
Reporting medication errors.
Drive vehicles to pick up medications, transport clients, etc.
Requirements
Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is preferred.
Experience in a hospital or urgent care setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of physiology and internal medicine principles.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and perform basic medical procedures.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
Familiarity with X-ray procedures is a plus.
