Role Description:
A Record to Report Director will manage the entire Record to Report process including the end-to-end accounting process,
ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting, while leading and developing a team to achieve these goals.
The Director will be responsible to execute the operations of the Record to Report on a daily basis.

Your main areas of focus will include:
∙ Delivering strategic guidance and leadership to the record to report team, ensuring the function operates with high quality, efficiency, and effectiveness. This includes leading engagement planning, managing engagement economics, risk, and timelines.
∙ Overseeing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial close activities are completed promptly and key KPIs are met.
∙ Supervising the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, including revenue recognition for milestone-based projects using the Percentage of Completion accounting method, inventory management, and more.
∙ Continuously evaluating and enhancing the record to report process by identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining, and standardization.
∙ Implementing best practices and promoting operational efficiencies by providing efficient, sustainable, and technology-driven solutions that comply with accounting and financial reporting standards.
∙ Leading or participating in projects related to ERP implementation or upgrades. Taking ownership of ERP deployment for the record to report process and driving user adoption and training.
∙ Establishing and maintaining a robust internal control environment, ensuring compliance with internal control policies, procedures, and SOX requirements. Conducting periodic reviews and assessments to detect control gaps and implementing remediation plans.
∙ Providing insights and analysis to support informed decision-making and enhance business performance.
∙ Building a high level of credibility and fostering strong working relationships with both external and internal stakeholders, including customers and advisors.
∙ Collaborating with key stakeholders, such as Controllership, Business Finance, and auditors, to resolve inquiries or issues related to the record to report process.
∙ Managing a team of professionals by overseeing their performance, development, and coaching. Working closely with the team to understand their challenges and identify solutions that drive desired outcomes.
Educational Qualifications and Requirements:
Required:
∙ Chartered Accountant (CPA equivalent) or finance degree required; candidates from other disciplines with relevant accounting experience will be considered.
∙ Over 20 years of experience in record to report, including leadership of teams comprising approximately 600+ members in the manufacturing industry.
∙ Extensive hands-on experience with the complete end-to-end record to report process.
∙ Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
∙ Desired experience with various software packages and tools such as Oracle, SAP, JDE, Power BI, HFM, One Stream reporting tool, Alteryx, among others.
∙ Proven project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.
∙ Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying process improvements and driving change.
∙ Proficiency in English is required, including written and verbal communication skills such as presentation, interpersonal communication, and facilitation.
