The Orenda Center of Wellness is currently hiring for the role of a fulltime Receptionist to work in the administrative offices at our women's inpatient services facility located in Sabillasville, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, learn quickly. and have strong professional phone skills. The office tasks that will be required may include but not be limited to, ensuring the housekeeping of the offices, answering the phones, taking messages, scheduling and setting up clients virtual medical appointments, overseeing staff calendars / appointments, administrative filling and paperwork scanning into the company digital drive, / pre-screening admission calls including data collections and/or scheduling,, taking notes for staff meetings, being point of contact for all visitors as well as fulling any of the other responsibilities assigned to the office receptionist role. This position will report directly to the Inpatient Services Admissions Specialist and work concurrently with the client's services marketing team ensure client pre-admissions are coordinated accuratly. This role will require a team mentality, good work ethic and full understanding of client rights & HIPAA regulations. The ability to quickly adapt and adjust to changes will be indispensable as well as being able to handle a face paced office environment.
Experience in the field of addictions and/or mental health services is preferred.
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn will go a long way with our organization.
The required work schedule is:
Monday thru Friday
8a to 4p
40 Hours per week with unpaid 30-min lunch breaks
Job Requirements & Minimum Skills:
GED or high school diploma
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to pass a drug screen
Experience working in mental health, substance use or medical field. - (Not required but preferred)
Flexibility with hours and workload responsibilities as needed
Ability to follow pre-set schedules and have good time management skills
Ability to work as a team player
Intermediate computer skills and professional phone skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suites or Google workspace
Experience in EMR systems. (Not required but preferred)
CPR/First Aid Certified
Position Offerings:
competitive hourly rate: $18 to $22 hourly
3-Week PTO per year with rollover options after 90 days (PT)
