Position: Receptionist
Employment Type: Full-time 1 year contract (possibility of extension pending funding)

Salary Range: $44,197-$46,888

Who we are? We are a leader in First Nation Health. Our foundation is Indigenous Health in Indigenous Hands. We provide accessible, quality, culturally safe and holistic health care that supports and enhances the wellness of individuals, families, and communities. We work with our 11 First Nation community partners and the IFC in the provision of primary health care, traditional healing, mental wellness and addictions, home and community support services, and health promotion services.
The opportunity: Under the direction of the Minobimaadizing Program Manager, the Receptionist will assist in implementing office administration practices which include but are not limited to maintaining clerical, communication systems, data entry, word processing, answering phones, filing, and other general office duties in accordance with Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services goals and organizational policies and procedures.
What you need to bring with you:
High School diploma (required) Post Secondary Diploma in Business or Office Administration considered an asset.
1-2 years’ experience in office administration.
Experience and academic training in business and public relations.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Willingness to take direction and work within the policies, philosophy, and procedures of the Centre.
Capable of interacting pleasantly and professionally with clients, staff, and the general public.
Willingness to adhere to the standards of professionalism and conduct expected of employees of Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Possess good filing and organizational skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Willingness to participate in staff training and development workshops as directed.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, as well as independently.
Knowledgeable in the operation of office equipment and computers.
Must be reliable, punctual, mature and friendly.
Ability to work within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.
Must be diligent in the maintaining office operations hours of work.
A clear criminal reference check is a condition of employment.
Must have access to a reliable vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.

What to expect?
Given the traditional practices of Indigenous people, from time-to-time exposure to smoke from the burning of sacred medicines such as tobacco, sweet grass, sage or cedar may occur.
