Job Description

We are seeking a warm, professional, and reliable Part‑Time Receptionist to support our Markham office during evenings (5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) and weekends (9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.). In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and callers - bringing calm, kindness, and clarity to every interaction.

• Answer calls from a switchboard, screening and directing calls to appropriate party and message taking for those who do not want to leave a voicemail
• Ensure professional and courteous approach with clients, visitors and employees
• Handle incoming/outgoing mail and courier packages including filing waybills appropriately
• Greet visitors in professional manner and notify appropriate person of their arrival
• Update monthly calendar with onsite and offsite courses, meetings, and seminars
• Verify phone numbers and addresses of clients for field staff
• Verify voicemail numbers for field staff and HCSS (Home and Community Care Support Services)
• Liaise with building management for maintenance requests and with security for parking issues
• May sort, date stamp, pickup and deliver mail to employees

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of previous reception and switchboard experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills and good written skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment where multitasking and prioritizing is essential
