Real Estate & Expansion Team Lead

As a Real Estate Team Lead (m/f/d), you can make a real impact by optimizing our property and infrastructure footprint, directly shaping the future of mobility in Mexico. You will lead a cross-functional team managing expansion, infrastructure development, and strategic site management. This role combines real estate expertise with operational planning, public-private collaboration, and infrastructure execution.

You will collaborate closely with Network Planning, Business Development, Operations, Legal, Public Affairs, and other key stakeholders to develop and manage critical infrastructure, from identifying new markets and negotiating leases to managing public access and ensuring legal compliance.

About the Role

• Lead and develop a high-performing team overseeing infrastructure and real estate projects across multiple regions.

• Drive strategic decision-making for site acquisition, expansion, and infrastructure development aligned with company growth.

• Identify new areas and potential market sites in line with Flix’s expansion strategy.

• Oversee sourcing, negotiation, and closing of contracts for new land or location acquisitions.

• Ensure compliance with zoning and permitting requirements; lead permit applications and manage local approvals.

• Handle communications and issue resolution with external partners, including local governments, operations, and city contacts.

• Oversee the region’s property lifecycle, including acquisitions, dispositions, subleases, modifications, and restructuring.

• Coordinate feasibility studies and property improvements with design and construction teams.

• Build and manage critical relationships with public and private stakeholders, including local governments authorities.

• Ensure continuous alignment with internal stakeholders (Legal, Real Estate, PA, etc.) for successful execution and compliance.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Architecture, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in corporate real estate and commercial expansion in similar roles, preferably in retail, hospitality, convenience stores, or related sectors

• Deep knowledge of national and local regulatory frameworks in Mexico for real estate development

• Strong leadership and project management experience within infrastructure or real estate projects

• Proven track record in managing lease agreements, property negotiations, and multi-stakeholder initiatives

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders

• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, focused on collaboration and effective execution

• Willingness to travel

• Fluent in English
