Los Angeles office of a national law firm is seeking a real estate lawyer with at least four years of experience to support a thriving national multi-faceted real estate finance practice. The ideal candidate will have sophisticated real estate transactional experience (primarily financing, sales and acquisitions). Candidate will currently work in a major law firm, representing banks, insurance companies, private equity funds, and other institutional clients. Qualified candidates will have distinguished academic credentials.
Duties:
• Negotiate and draft transaction documents (letters of intent, purchase agreements, leases, loan agreements etc.)
• Perform due diligence (including title and survey, land use permitting and contracts), including coordination of due diligence review by associates and paralegals
• Conduct closings, including document preparation, signing, coordination of closing/post-closing activities
• Adhere to a standard of ethics and maintain confidentiality of the firm and its clients
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
