Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a React Native / Expo Engineer to support the review of an existing hybrid mobile application and provide both tactical and strategic input on the viability of hybrid approaches for future mobile solutions. This role will play a key part in conducting a thorough assessment of the current application, identifying improvements, and advising on future architecture and delivery options across iOS and Android platforms.

What you will do:

 

• Conduct a detailed tactical review of the existing hybrid mobile application.
• Assess the viability of React Native and Expo for current and future mobile solutions.
• Deliver cross platform and hybrid mobile applications through the full SDLC to successful app store release.
• Integrate mobile applications with APIs and backend services.
• Evaluate platform-specific limitations across iOS and Android when using hybrid frameworks.
• Provide strategic recommendations for future mobile architecture and delivery approaches.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to align findings with future solution planning.
• Document findings, recommendations, and technical considerations clearly.

• Strong experience delivering cross platform or hybrid mobile applications through SDLC to app store release.
• Hands-on expertise with React Native and Expo.
• Solid experience with API integration in mobile applications.
• Good understanding of iOS and Android platform constraints when using hybrid frameworks.
• Experience in native iOS and or Android development preferred.
• Experience implementing offline synchronisation in mobile applications preferred.
• Familiarity with Government SSO solutions such as Gov Gateway or Gov One preferred.
• Ability to provide both tactical technical review and strategic technical guidance.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Eligibility for BPSS clearance and ideally SC clearance in place.
