Radiologist
Position Summary
A healthcare organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Radiologist to provide diagnostic imaging interpretation and consultative services that support accurate diagnosis and patient care. This role involves interpreting imaging studies across multiple modalities and collaborating with referring providers to deliver timely, high-quality, evidence-based imaging services.
Key Responsibilities
• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine (as credentialed)
• Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to referring clinicians
• Perform image-guided procedures within scope of practice, as applicable
• Promote appropriate imaging utilization and adherence to clinical guidelines
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and clinical teams to support patient care
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and clinical consultations
• Maintain compliance with quality assurance, safety, and regulatory standards
• Utilize PACS and radiology information systems for documentation and reporting
• Participate in peer review, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
• Support teaching, mentoring, or research activities as applicable
Practice Setting
• Hospital-based radiology departments and/or outpatient imaging centers
• On-site or remote (teleradiology) coverage depending on organizational needs
• Schedule and call responsibilities vary by practice model
Patient Population
• Pediatric and adult patients
• Broad range of diagnostic and interventional imaging needs
Work Environment
• Radiology department and imaging center settings within a multidisciplinary care model
• Emphasis on quality outcomes, efficiency, and diagnostic excellence
Requirements:
Qualifications
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the practicing state
• Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty preferred but not required
