Radiologic Technologist – Cath Lab / Interventional (RT(R)) – San Antonio, TX

Employment Type: PRN/1099 Consulting | Flexible Schedule

Compensation: $50–$75/hr, based on experience

Mileage Reimbursement: IRS rate

Overview

We are hiring a Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) with proven experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology to provide procedural case support and device in-servicing in the San Antonio region. This is a flexible PRN/1099 consulting role, ideal for technologists who want independence while leveraging their Cath Lab expertise.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in and assist physicians during interventional cardiovascular and peripheral cases.

• Provide monitoring and procedural support in Cath Lab, IR, or Hybrid OR.

• Deliver staff education and in-servicing on interventional devices and best practices.

• Support procedures including structural heart, thrombectomy, vascular interventions, and device implants.

• Ensure compliance with sterile technique and safety protocols.

• Travel throughout the San Antonio area as needed (mileage reimbursed).

Required:

• Active RT(R) credential.

• Minimum 3 years Cath Lab / IR / Hybrid OR experience.

• Experience with devices such as Inari, Impella, AngioJet, IVUS, and similar systems.

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with physicians and staff.

• Valid driver’s license, ability to travel regionally.

Preferred:

• Device training or medical device in-servicing background.

• Familiarity with advanced cardiovascular/peripheral techniques (TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, etc.).

Compensation & Structure

• Hourly Pay: $50–$75/hr ($104,000 – $156,000 annualized, depending on hours worked).

• Mileage reimbursement: IRS rate.

• Type: PRN/1099 contractor.

• Schedule: Flexible, based on case coverage needs.
